Week 5/1

Flatout 4 Total Insanity (PS4/XB1): Flatout 4: Total Insanity elevates the level of hard hitting, fast paced action in the demolition derby style racing genre. Fans will rejoice as the celebrated series offers bigger, louder, better and more outrageous stunts and collisions. Also, fans of the genre can still enjoy some of the popular classic stunts too, as FlatOut 4: Total Insanity offers something for FlatOut fans both new and familiar.

Prey (PS4/XB1): In Prey, you awaken aboard Talos I, a space station orbiting the moon in the year 2032. You are the key subject of an experiment meant to alter humanity forever – but things have gone terribly wrong. The space station has been overrun by hostile aliens and you are now being hunted. As you dig into the dark secrets of Talos I and your own past, you must survive using the tools found on the station, your wits, weapons, and mind-bending abilities.

Birthdays the Beginning (PS4): From the creator of Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons, comes Birthdays the Beginning. A new sandbox game on PS4 in which players create cube-shaped worlds that give rise to diverse and unique lifeforms. With careful experimentation, players can shape the geography and alter the temperature of each world to create the conditions for life and witness the birth of an entire ecosystem.

Week of 5/14

The Surge (PS4/XB1): Explore and fight in a dystopian wasteland overrun by malfunctioning machines and fearsome enemies in this hardcore sci-fi action RPG. As the Earth nears the end of its life, those who remain in the bleak, overpopulated cities must work to survive in an industrial complex plagued by a tech-enhanced workforce. You are a survivor in this world, an ordinary man who wears a powerful, industrial-grade exoskeleton that gives you protection and strength to stay alive. Meld flesh with steel to survive long enough to discover the truth about CREO, your mysterious employer. The Surge features a dynamic limb-targeting system and an original character progression system based on modular upgrades gained through tight, visceral combat.

Akiba’s Beat (PS4/Vita): Akiba’s Beat is a modern-day satirical spin on a classic Japanese RPG formula. Set in a true-to-life recreation of Tokyo’s Akihabara ward (“Akiba” for short), players will take control of a party of characters led by protagonist Asahi Tachibana as they seek to rid the town of anything out of sync with reality. There are two sides to the gameplay: first, players will wander the streets and question the quirky Akihabara residents on a variety of subjects related to the mystery at hand, ultimately unlocking fantasy-themed dungeons known as “Delusionscapes” which are infested with monsters called “deluseons.” These deluseons are encountered on the map and fought in a party-based action battle system, putting players’ skills to the test and creating a uniquely challenging experience that seamlessly blends a real-life locale with the secret delusory world of its residents’ true desires.

Operation Babel – New Tokyo (Vita): Continue the story of Operation Abyss and defend near-future Tokyo from a new threat in this dungeon crawling RPG. When a mysterious object – dubbed the Embryo’ – appears in the sky, the CPA and the Xth Squad are mobilized to face the new threat. Venture into challenging new labyrinths and create the perfect team to challenge each threat. Featuring a mysterious new story, unprecedented character customization through the new Sub-Blood’ system, and item based character ability modifications, Operation Babel: New Tokyo Legacy will give you a world to lose yourself in.

Hakuoki – Kyoto Winds (Vita): Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds for the PS Vita system is a visual novel in which you can romance the famous samurai of the Shinsengumi. This remastered telling of the beloved Hakuoki series that was first developed and released in 2008 focuses on the story set in Kyoto. Never-before-seen episodes and character routes have been added to the original version of the game, introducing more romanceable targets, new characters, and plenty of new paths to seek for yourself. Take a glimpse into the world of Hakuoki, as it was originally intended.

Farpoint (PSVR): Farpoint is a riveting VR space adventure set on a hostile alien planet.
